“Summer Drama is hard to describe. It’s packed with brilliant people with even more brilliant ideas. It is of course so different from anything I’ve done before which just adds to its appeal. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get to know children of all different ages and even though I had only met a few previously, I find myself already missing everyone. I absolutely love the creative freedom it offers and would 100% recommend it to anyone interested in any aspect of performance as there is definitely something there for everyone”

“Once again, it’s incredible what has been achieved in such a short space of time. Always the standout for me is the movement. Complex, bold, full of energy. The way the youngsters are able to command the space is very impressive. I can’t get my son to do any other drama, but with this, he looks forward to it and he shines. My daughter has grown and grown up with this! Just joyful!”

“I just wanted to say again how wonderful the performance was last night. Our girls were super-engaged and loved it, that was clear, and we loved seeing how it all came together and how everyone worked with each other as a team. Now they’re hooked on drama and want to do more, which is such a lovely tribute. I can also see how much both of our children have grown in confidence and what the voice projection has done in pushing them out of their comfort zone and letting them experience what is possible.”

“So – it seems scary, because you don’t know where to start and there can be so many different ideas and you don’t know how to put them together. But once you do start, it becomes much easier, especially when you have a base for your story. Also, you don’t have to do all the writing. Explaining your ideas is enough! They will turn it into something great! I loved, loved, loved it!”

“In this strange world we are living through this event was a shining light to let us see that the talents of the young generation can and will come to the fore through any adversity. This was an absolute delight and a privilege to watch.”

“If you can’t make an omelette without cracking eggs, Summer Drama 2020 was a positive frittata! To be able to transfer the whole project online at short notice was incredible in itself, but to keep 20+ children fully engaged for several hours a day for 10 days is nothing short of brilliant.”

This was a magical performance and the cast and directors were magical too! So much hard work, what a lasting memory for the kids to have. This experience will stay with them for life and shape them as people – team work, communication, empathy, pulling together, support – all vital life skills which they hone in just two weeks – utterly amazing!!
