Like thousands of other organisations during the Pandemic, we transferred what we could online, delivering weekly Zoom classes and Youth Theatres throughout 2020/21. That we were able to do so was largely down to our highly skilled volunteers who gave up their time to support us in realising the projects we embarked on, including a full length radio play and feature length film.
This experience has given us new skills, new resilience, and more. It has shone a light on the many unsung heroes who help to make Live Drama what it is. We want to be able to draw on their experience again in the future, and, on other experts and advisors, too. To do that, we are establishing a fund to cover expenses, and equipment as we continue to move into new areas of work, such as film.
If you like what we do and can afford to help us, please donate here:
If you like what we do but don’t like the idea of an online donation, contact us here for details of other ways to support Live Drama.
Thank you all in anticipation, and here’s to better times ahead!
“First Bite breaks new ground! From the dark days of a global pandemic, Live Drama and FBSYT have created something beautiful and full of hope. The group’s latest production of ‘Tall Tales’ (Communicado Theatre Company), filmed remotely on Zoom, smartphones, and i-pads and on location around Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside, is a work of genius.
Incorporating live action, shadow puppetry and stop animation, this film reveals the immeasurable talent of these young people and a capacity for creativity and adaptation which is an example to us all at this time.
Rebecca Kilbey and her team are to be commended for another successful project, which leaves us all hungry to see what they come up with next.”
